Make your listings actionable with clickable elements: website links, call-to-action buttons, tap-to-call phone numbers, and social media icons. Add these in Listing Fields.
Links
A clickable text link to any URL (e.g., "Visit Website," "View Menu," "Apply Now").
- Add Field → Link
- Set the label (the text visitors see)
- Options: color, open in new tab
When editing a listing, paste the destination URL.
Buttons
A styled call-to-action button, more visually prominent than a plain link.
- Add Field → Button
- Set the label (button text like "Book Now" or "Get Quote")
- Options: color, open in new tab

Phone Numbers
A tap-to-call phone number. On mobile, tapping it opens the dialer.
- Add Field → Phone
- Set the label (e.g., "Phone," "Call Us")
- Options: color
When editing a listing, enter the phone number.
Social Media Icons
An icon linking to a social media profile. EmbedDirectory shows the platform's icon automatically.
- Add Field → Social Icon Link
- Set the label
- Choose the platform: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, Podcast, or Other (custom SVG icon)
- Options: open in new tab
Add multiple social fields for different platforms. Each gets its own icon.
When editing a listing, paste the profile URL.
Shared Options
All fields in this group share these options:
Visibility: Results & details or Details only.
Open in new tab: available on links, buttons, and social icons. Opens the destination in a new browser tab.
Color: pick a color for the link text, button, phone number, or icon.
What Filters Work with These Fields
These fields are primarily for display and interaction, but they do work with:
- Search Bar: link text, button labels, phone numbers, and social URLs are included in keyword search.
- Toggle Filter: show only listings that have a value in this field (e.g., "Show only listings with a website").
